A New Beginning

While pondering the beginning of a New Year I can't help but look back on the blessings that were bestowed on our family in 2009...

Our Home~

Our home was protected and those of us in it watched over and comforted when a destructive tornado came through directly behind our house. The trees have seen better days, but our house was still completely intact, as were the loved ones sitting inside.

Our Health~

We spent nearly the entire year without much in the way of bodily harm or illness. Then October came and we decided to join the rest of the nation in Cold & Flu season, with a touch of the ER and surgery. But we are all still healthy, and so blessed by the power of the Priesthood in our home as well as the Priesthood that is int he homes of our friends here. What a wonderful strength and gift to have.

Our Family~

In so many ways... I don't know where to start... our family has been blessed. Another year of growth and learning for our three healthy children. Another year with safe travels to visit family far away. Another year, and what a year, with Shawn thankfully employed. 2009 brought our country so much economic change and trial to overcome. This blessing has been in the front of our minds, on the top of our gratitude list as well as our prayers.

Our Love~

Another year together has presented Shawn and myself with continued love and new found appreciations for each other as well as for our children. We discovered this year just how much our family is changing, from one phase of life to another.

New experiences. New blessings. New hope. New beginnings. A New Year.
