Florida Vacation ~ Week 2

So, after the launch, we spent more time at the beach and then realized the beauty of the swimming pool. Yes, the sandless, ouchless swimming pool. It was wonderful while Daddy was at work!
After work one day Shawn decided to take a boogie board and just relax in the cool ocean waves... can you see him???
While I was snapping shots of Shawn from our balcony, I caught site of this unicycler, among other interestingly engaged people on the beach.
(I must apologize for all balcony shots. I chose to only use my optical zoom and it doesn't reach very far. I guess this does give you an idea of how high we were.) During the dry times of day, you could catch Zach and the girls playing games with each other, including card-castle-making.
And of course, on the weekend we took our trip to the Magic Kingdom!!!
The only one in this row of seats on the tram that has ever been here before, including myself, is Shawn. And he was full of excitement and anticipation for what was coming.
We made it!! The Magic Kingdom!!! What a fun day. We followed the map all around, and tried very hard to catch all we could. The Fast Pass made that easier. However, the heat and humidity made things a little less enjoyable at around 3pm. (We stayed from 9am to 8pm.... what a day!!!)
Who could resist letting their 3-year-old drive?!?! After this ride, ME!!! I was grateful for the guide rail. Skylah had a blast though.
As did Daddy, Zach and Ranoah. Shawn also realized how grateful he was that we still have a few years to go before these kiddos reach the pedal.
I have been told you can't go to Disney Land or Disney World without riding the Tea Cups.
This was a little boat that the kids could just go in and run around. However, for us it was a quick stop where we could get another picture. And since Mommy isn't in near enough pictures...
And so we end this week with a farewell to the Magic Kingdom. Fireworks were a no-go as we had three TIRED little troopers with us.

It was a fun week. While at Disney World we had many opportunities to see Mickey and his pals. However, we left that up to the little ones. In their taking-after-Daddy practicality they decided each time to go on and have more rides. We also had to hit the gift shop. Amazingly enough, Skylah opted to get the Mickey Hat. Nothing extra, just the hat. Ranoah came home with a little stuffed Tinkerbell, her latest passion, and Zach decided to wait to go to another store to get the Narnia toys he was eyeing in the gift shop (sorry, but we aren't paying DW prices on something we KNOW to be in department and toy stores everywhere a lot cheaper, and he was willing and happy to wait a day).

Two weeks to go in our trip to Florida. many asked why we were there so long. Well, Shawn had to work there. So his vacation time was on weekends only. However, it was a full vacation for me... no grinding wheat, no cooking (unless you count heating oven and putting in the frozen lasagna), store-bought cold cereal, etc. I felt so..... LAZY!!! It was so relaxing and great.

What a great trip! It sounds like you hit all the important hot spots too. Glad you had a fun time! Bonus for you to get to be lazy, somehow though-- I can't imagine you being lazy as the words HOPE and LAZY should not even be in the same sentence!
