Projects in the Home

Recently, Shawn and Hope have been taking on different tasks/jobs around the house. They have also been doing other fun projects.

For Christmas, they received a new clock for their home, along with some wall decals to go with it. Hope put it up with great excitement to add one more thing to make her house a home! It looks just a little off, because Hope was on a swivel barstool putting it up! Also, the picture is an angled shot because it is high on the wall! But, they love the new addition! It fits in
nicely.

Besides standing on a swivel stool on her tip-toes, Hope has been up to making more enjoyable projects as well. She has continued sewing new things, including diapers for Skylah, pajamas for Zach, scripture bag for Shawn, and is currently working on some new dresses, pants and more diapers and diapering accessories! She is really enjoying the sewing machine she recently received from Grandma Holcomb!! Thanks, Grandma!!

Along with her endeavor to become a better homemaker, she is still enjoying making jewelry. Recently Hope made some hair sticks to sell at her little shop at Hyena Cart. Apparently, everyone loved them!! She is making more, and is starting to work with someone to sell at another location. Hope enjoys making the jewelry. She enjoys seeing the different pieces come together in unique ways! Ranoah has been a helpful model, too.

You can't tell, but they are dangley! They were the first pair that Hope sold, just before she started getting emails to make more! It is exciting.

Shawn has had his own projects as well! Along with restoring a Power Wheels Truck for the kids for Christmas, Shawn made himself 4 tables over holiday break. Two for his shop and two for his Star Wars room (previosly his mom's room while she was looking for a house). The tables are unfinished, but he has them in his room anyways so he can start sorting though all of his collection...

Shawn also built a small porch with steps leading to the yard several months ago (when we first moved in it was a flimsy set of steps directly in front of the door... they felt as though they were going to collapse any day). You could say it was practice for when he builds the deck for the back of the house!

These projects have kept Shawn and Hope busy, but have been incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable!

Hope, your beading work is beautiful. Do you know of any place I could find a fleur de lis bead?
