Our Family Background

Shawn and Hope met in July of 1998, one month after Hope graduated Highschool. They were engaged soon after Hope became "legal", then were married a week before Christmas. One year and a day later, their first born, Zachariah, came into this world. Another year later, Shawn graduated college and they all moved to TX where Shawn worked with NASA through USA on the MPS. Their second and third born children, both girls, came along, Ranoah & Skylah (a couple of years apart, that is). After five years of living in a 3.5 million populated city, they decided it was time for a change. So, they moved to a city one-tenth the size in population and a house a whole lot bigger!! Not to mention all the land they are already enjoying the "fruits" and vegetables from!!!

The people and sites were great in TX, but they are very much enjoying living where they are now and changing their lifestyle to, hopefully, better themselves and their family! In TX, Hope decided to start to make the family's bread as a first step to more healthy and natural living... Most people chuckled and said, "but you can buy it so much easier"... Hope was a little shocked when she came to a gathering and began chatting with other moms in the area... "Yeah, I make my bread all the time"... "I love to make a bunch of dough and then freeze each loaf until I need it"... These were all the responses! Yes!! She had found people of very similar interests and lifestyles!! She will always miss those who became her friend in TX. But she is filled with excitement and anticipation as she continues her quest for a more fulfilling lifestyle!

(These posts are meant to replace the weekly update emails Hope has been sending to all the family living far away, and friends all around the country! Happy New Year!!)
